Hey, lovelies! It's been a while since I've filmed a video so I thought it'll make a comeback with something fun and chill. I always do a Halloween makeup look for Instagram but I've come to terms that I'm actually terrible with makeup videos (trust me i've tried so many times filming makeup tutorials and I hated the results! :C) So I did what I'm good at instead, arty farsty stuff! I want to film more Youtube videos so let me know what videos you would like to see in the future! <3

I've recently moved back to Birmingham after graduating uni, so I've been working hard getting my butt back on the blogging scene. PrezzyBox were super lovely and invited me to their annual Jingle Mingle event, what an exciting way start my blogging journey again! And it's so lovely to have them host their event in Birmingham; last year it was held in Nottingham.
Upon arrival, the Prezzybox team were super welcoming and greeted us with some bubbles. The room was filled with Pinterest style gifts, I would be one happy bunny if someone gifted me something from PrezzyBox, look how cute they are!
Motivational Talks from Zak Edwards and Eltoria
The night followed with a motivational talk from the PrezzyBox creator and MD, Zak Edwards. Before he started Prezzybox, he hated his 9-5 and wanted to do something fun. It was very inspiring and humbling to learn about how he built up the company from an idea, the struggles and the work he put in to get the company where it is today. The key take away from the talk was to do something fun and chase after your dreams. He's such a funny guy and I adore that he tries to support smaller UK businesses and creators, now that he has this successful company.
We also had a talk from Youtuber Eltoria, also known as the beauty advent calendar unboxing girl. She told us about her Youtube journey, gave us social media tips and how to find a niche in the market to dominate. My god, she's even more stunning in real life and she's like the same person in her videos, very bubbly and friendly.
Wild Olive Bath Melt Workshop
This was my favourite part of the night! I did a workshop with the all-natural bath and body brand Wild Olive. Mine didn't turn out looking as good as the ones on display, but hey I tried and it was really fun!
The amazing Lauren showed us how to pipe their popular Bath Melts, if I recall correctly she said that you can make 200 or more an hour, they're all handmade! The Bath Melt is made with cocoa butter to give you an indulgent experience and to moisturize your skin nicely.
Mine turn out literally like a unicorn poop because I went overboard with the decorations lol, I put loads of biodegradable glitter and unicorn soaps into them. They may be poop but at least they're magical. They also gifted me their Clementine and Prosecco Shower Smoothie, i'm super excited to try it out because it smells sooo divine. All their products are vegan, handmade, kind to your skin and the environment.
I missed their photography flat lay workshop because I got carried away talking, typical me. But me and Ting did take loads of Instagram boomerangs and photos at their mini photobooth.
The event was so fun, it had us snapping the night away. Thank you so much to PrezzyBox for hosting this! It would be great to see you again next year. <3
If you want to see for yourself what went down at Jingle Mingle, then here is a little quick video:
Does any of the PrezzyBox gifts tickle your pickle?
On October 20th, HyunA posted a picture of her on the weighing scales. Sharing her current weight of 43.1kg to everyone. People were confused as to why she decided to post her weight on social media. At the first people thought she was promoting skinniness and weight loss, due to the pressure of the KPop industry being really strict with idol's dieting and weights. But people actually misunderstood her; she later responded in the comments that she gained this weight through healthy eating and exercise.
She also said that "Unnie eat lots of delicious food!"
HyunA is trying to show her healthy weight gain as a positive movement. During her Bubble Pop era, she weighed 39kg, so she has managed to get back to her usual weight.
Fans have also said this is a sign of her having 100% control of her body back after leaving CUBE entertainment.
I think her trying to promote gaining healthy weight is much needed for Korea's standard of beauty, not everyone has to fit into a box and change is needed. What do you think?

To be honest, this makeup look turned out completely different to how I envisioned it. I was going for something like an "in real life yet comic book like" zombie look. I mixed in too much red paint so the result is like a mix an of Titan (hence the name I gave this look) and a zombie. For those of yous asking for Halloween costume/makeup ideas that aren't generic then here you go.
I used Makeup Revolution Pro Mischeif Matte Eyesdhow Palette and SFX Paint Palette to create this look.
The look is super easy to do and only took me one hour! (Even though it could pass off as a 1 or 2 more) So it's also great for a last minute look. :) Affordable, easy and non-generic look completed.
What do you think? ^^ Is it scary enough?
If you recreate this look please tag me on Instagram @michellecheungg to show me!

If you ever hear me say that "i'm not drinking again" assume that I'm still drunk or something because I love nothing more than a good cocktail. Earlier this week I went to a cocktail masterclass at Tom's Kitchen Birmingham with my blogger friend Sian Victoria. It still blows my mind how I ended up in a room full of Birmingham's Award Winning bloggers and there's little me. Anyway back to the drinkies!
Tom's Kitchen is now running cocktail masterclasses where you can learn about your favourite drinks and make them from scratch with your friends. Since the festive season is coming up, we did a Christmas themed class. For our session, we had Noel (his name is literally Christmas!), he was so entertaining and lovely which definitely uplifted the experience even more.
Before we started, we got taught about all the bar basics and how each equipment is used. For our first cocktail, we had a pretty strong one to get everyone out of their shell and into a boozy mood.

Lemon, Lavender and Thyme Martini
A classic gin martini with a floral twist, it reminded me of recipes you see on Pinterest. This one is definitely strong, it's almost pure alcohol! Made with lemon, lavender syrup, fresh thyme, gin and vermouth. I'm a massive fan of floral flavoured gin, so I really liked the lavender twist (I added a little extra of the syrup into mine hehe). It's not sweet and really calming. If you prefer your martini to be diluted, a really cool and useful tip we learnt is to simply stir it for longer before straining and serving because the ice has more time to melt.
Santa Hat
For our second cocktail, we had a Santa Hat. You can see that the sugar rim makes it look like an cute upside down Santa hat. This one is my favourite! Those that have a sweet tooth will absolutely love it. Made with tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice and pomegranate juice. It's sweet and fruity; you can't taste the tequila at all (well I can't lol). Which is great but also dangerous because it literally tastes like a yummy juice mix. I want to drink this all day long on Christmas thanks. Make that summer too! I think this would actually be a treat on a sunny day or at a pool party.
Aged Oak Alexander
Sadly the last one :(, we finished off the class with a dessert cocktail. If you like Pina Coladas, you'll love this! Me and Sian want to go back for more. It's made with oak aged vodka, double cream and vanilla syrup. I'm pretty sure that I'm missing an ingredient or two but there's only so much a girl can remember right? The aged vodka has a lovely woody scent to it; mixed with the vanilla it brings a different dimension of flavour to the drink. If you prefer a vegan version you can ask the staff and they'll switch out the double cream for soya milk.
So there's a little insight into the cocktail masterclass! I definitely recommend it as it's a great way to spend the evening with your friends and it was so fun to get hands-on shaking up our own cocktails. The service is excellent as they tailor it to your liking to ensure you have the best possible experience. For example, if there's a cocktail you don't like you can ask the staff to switch it for something else. The class cost £35 per person, which is a good value since each cocktail cost around £10 alone.
Which cocktail out of the 3 would you like to try?
TL;DR:
£35 per personYou get 3 cocktails per class
Each session lasts for roughly 2 hours

1. Full Face Glowing Mask - Fire Engine Red

Omg this next one is hilarious! It made me laugh the second I saw it. Not feeling the neon lights but still adore the electronic scene? Go as EDM producer and DJ - Marshmello!

I've been bleaching my hair for over 10 years now, so without any doubt, my hair is damaged and dry. Dry shampoo is essential to me as a good hair treatment because 1) I don't want to further dry out my hair from frequent washing and 2) I travel a lot! In Asia it's super humid so your hair gets greasy and sweaty every day. During my Hong Kong adventures, I bought along with me the L'oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay dry shampoo and it been a pleasure!
Boots £3.99 |
At first, I was turned off by the scent because it has like a "clean ocean" scent, I personally prefer floral ones. Besides the scent, I absolutely adore this product and have been using it religiously for a good month. At the moment this is my favourite dry shampoo because it does a really good job of absorbing the oils without leaving my hair feeling super dry! Some dry shampoos absorb the oils in the mid-end section as well, which I'm not a fan of because it leaves my hair feeling crunchy, ew!
I just exposed my extension track for this review lol but I wanted to try show you guys how fine it sprays out. The fine powder is lightweight, doesn't leave gritty residue and there's no a grey cast on my black roots. Which I loveeee!
However, since the powder is so fine you do need to spray out little more compared to other ones like Batiste.
It makes my hair happy, clean and volumised~
Pros:
- The small can is great for travelling
- No residue
- No white case
- No crunchy/straw-like texture after
- Clean and volumised results
Cons:
- I don't like the scent! Please make another variation :c
- You need to spray more compared to other ones
